Posts Tagged ‘black vote’

I’ve been going back and forth with so called “progressive Democrats” about their attacks on Obama being no different then attacks on Obama from the right. Then it hit me. These attacks are coming from the Hillary Clinton voter base. They never really warmed up to the idea of a black man leading them and never got over Hillary losing.

It’s like the kid on the basketball court that gets upset because his team loses and takes the basketball home with him immediately after the loss so that no one continues to play.

Trust me, Republicans are taking note:

The Clinton Voters Jump Ship

Obama’s shrinking base

I’m surprised they (Clinton supporters) didn’t turn on him (Obama) sooner… like one year into his Presidency. Oh that’s right, we are one year into his Presidency.

I expected this. , however.

Obama just passed his one year mark recently. My thoughts on his presidency so far brings to memory a post I submitted back in October 2008. It was titled “Republicans, after Obama, it’s back to the good ole days…”.

My take on Obama’s first year is that when he said ‘We have a deficit of trust” during his State of the Union Address, he wasn’t talking about the obvious (Republicans and big business). He was talking about trust among Democrats themselves. Obama’s first year has been a struggle. Though Democrats had the vaunted “supermajority” 60 vote advantage, they did not fully support the White House’s agenda. Why?  Because quite a bit of them have proven to be controlled by the same lobbyist that control Republicans.  And I suspect that some of them are still a little bothered about being led by a black man.

My post back in October 2008 basically talks about this part of the Democrat Party. It’s the same section that brought forward so much disdain at the thoughts of having to vote for a Democrat presidential candidate who happened to be black. The present Democrat Party as a whole has so far proven that they  lack the courage to become apart of the type of change that Obama has tried to usher into American politics. We knew the Republicans would not cooperate (and they have not). It’s the representatives and senators on the Democrat side of the aisle that have proven to be the roadblocks to passing key legislation that the Obama Administration has championed.

What the Democrats don’t understand is that this is their last chance and the last chance for this country. If they don’t stop blocking Obama’s agenda then they are sure to loose the black vote come next election. Say what you want of the support Obama got from whites and hispanics, it was the black vote and the numbers in which they turned out that carried Obama over. the Democrat Party will not get that again if they continue to betray Obama and work behind the scenes with Republicans to make it seem as though Obama can’t get the job done.

The very next time we get a Republican President, you can kiss the good ole US of A goodbye. The damage that Dupya caused coupled with a paralyzed one term Obama Presidency lays the ground work for the GOP to finish the job due to it’s alliance with big business. The ultimate goal of this alliance is the total destruction of the middle class. This would mean more profits for the haves off the backs of the havenots.

The conservative Supreme Court just demonstrated the alliance effects by essentially overturning settled law that now allows for corporations to rig every election with overwhelming pro republican advertising that will surely brainwash or simple scare voters into voting for Republicans. (yes, American voters are that gullible)

“That One!”. That quote said it all. Far more so then McCain not even being cordial to Obama during the first debate. McCain is an extension of the disdain that Hillary Supporters have towards the fact that “a black guy” is winning. The Harriet Christian Democrats and certainly the VAST RIGHT WING of the country that has run this country into the ground the past 8 years is pissed!

I believe I’m seeing something similar to when Jim Crow behavior initially became politically incorrect. I wasn’t alive then, but you can just tell that McCain would have loved to have used something else rather than “That One” to describe Obama.

Like “Inadequate”. What about”Uppity”. You add the ending to each snipe. YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS…

The McCain-Palin ticket is the phrase that reads the same backwards as Bush-Chaney. And no, there’s no “lite” attached. Except that it’s really “Palin-McCain”.

I’ve posted on this in the past and I’ll touch on it again. Americans, a vast majority of white ones at that, are serious gluttens for punishment.

Quite simply, it was the same “undecided” whtie citizens who voted for Bush during the second of W’s terms, who are now being swayed by Sarah “Smile” Palin’s addition to McCains ticket. This Palin “VPILF” crap appeals exactly to what McCains strategist are counting on. The immaturity of the American White Male that thinks with their libido and not with their brains…

Not talked about in serious context, George W. Bush is a perfect case study on the adolescent mindset of the 21st Century American White Male. Take a look at what types of roles/stars are revered by this segment of society in todays movies . Adam Sandler. Jim Carey. Chris Farley. Owen Wilson. Ben Stiller. Jack Black. Vince Vaughn. Will Ferrell. All White Males who play(ed) characters who have not quite grown up yet, though their clearly in their 30’s/40’s. These guys movies are all about connecting with this segment of the American population.

Fox News knows what makes these guys tick. Want their attention? Get it with a “hot babe” as your talking piece. Doesn’t matter if she has no substance. As long as she’s articulate, “hot”, nice rack AND there’s no internet dirt on her, she’s good to go. “We’ll give her the talking points and she’ll deliver the ratings… No experience par for the job needed.

Our media had the gall to criticize China for replacing the not so pretty 7 year old singer of the opening Bejing Olympics with one that fit their idea of what was pretty.

China’s official stance was, ““The national interest requires that the girl should have good looks and a good grasp of the song and look good on screen”

Where’s the medias criticism for the GOP’s 21st Century model for success: “The national interest of the party requires that the woman should have good looks, a good grasp of “Republican propaganda crap” and look good on screen.”

And Palin hits the spot.

As the Chinese replacement “lip synced” the words to “Ode to the Motherland”, Palin will speak pre-rehearsed republican propaganda about liberals, religion and taking America Back into a mic.

My question is; taking back American from who? Your own party that has F’d things up the past 7.5 years?

You can put lip stick on an elephant, but it’s still a big ole stinking elephant. Hows that!

Obama is sexist. He’s an inadequate black man. McCain has more experience as a “President”. Obama is not experienced enough. Obama’s middle name is Hussein. He’s a ‘snake oil salesman”.

So…white Democrat voters would rather vote for McCain.

Ask the friend of Carol McCain about McCain (or read about it here):

Now, look at yourself in the mirror and just admit who or what you really are. I don’t need to say it. You say it everyday when it’s safe to be politically incorrect.

In the 2000 election, 90% of black voters voted for Al Gore. John Kerry got 88%. In both elections, voter turnout was at record levels. In the 1992 election, Bill Clinton got 83% of the black vote and 84% in 1996.

In 1996, Black voters had the opportunity to vote for an articulate, intelligent black man who was running for President (Republican Candidate Alan Keys).

Did they cross over to the Republican side to support Keys? He was black then as he is now. NO. They listened to his campaign rhetoric and decided he was not a candidate that supported their concerns. This dispels the notion that “BLACKS VOTE FOR BLACKS” automatically because, well, the candidate is black!

Any of you Hillary supporters who are spouting the “How come blacks aren’t called racist when they have voted 90+% in favor of Obama” DON’T WANT to understand these facts!

YOU CAN’T HANDLE THE TRUTH that your support for Clinton is fueled by her”PSSSSST. HE’S A BLACK GUY” CAMPAIGN RHETORIC.

WHEN THE CLINTON CAMPAIGN SAW THAT SHE WAS DESTINED TO LOSE THE NOMINATION AFTER LOSING SUPER TUESDAY, SHE/HER CAMPAIGN DECIDED TO RESORT TO WILLIE HORTON TYPE OF TACTICS TO GARNER ENOUGH VOTES FROM RACIST WHITES OF WHOM THE “PSSSSST” WORKS ON. ALL IN AN EFFORT TO STAY IN THE RACE AND HOPED THAT IT WORKED WELL ENOUGH TO JUSTIFY STEALING THE NOMINATION! (SEE WEST VIRGINIA, KENTUCKY, PENNSYLVANIA).

HOWEVER, I believe that most pre-Super Tuesday Hillary supporters are not like this. It hasn’t worked on all white voters. JUST THE ONES THE PRESS AND INTERNET COVERAGE HAS IDENTIFIED AS “UNEDUCATED WORKING CLASS WHITES”.

THIS MEANS YOU. DEAL WITH IT.

Oh, I forgot. They probably can’t read let alone surf the internet. My bad.

Hillary touring black churches to heal eroded black support makes me cringe. But not for reasons you may think.

Bamboozled attendees of the “black church” just might be foolish enough to accept any sort of apology tour HRC musters. A little payola to the minister behind the scene should facilitate this in most of the cases. I can see the you tube clips now. Hillary on the mike at some mega church talking about how sorry she is, the minister standing by her side, and Bill leading the choir.

Listen, how else do you explain how an alarming number of black voters VOTED FOR GEORGE W. BUSH this past election? The GOP put some money in the pockets of a bunch of “the Right Reverend Wright” type of preachers to push the “vote against gay marriage” referendum in the hallowed halls of quite a bit of “mega type” church’s like Rev. Wrights. AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM.

It didn’t hurt that most of these “black ministers” had already been on the payroll. Most of the ones you saw on TV in 2004 supporting Bush’s ban on gay marriage campaign pledge was receiving a little payola throughout Bush’s first term through the Bush Administrations “Faith Base Initiative” giveaway.

You know, the one that gives federal money (forget separation of church and state) to church’s that is supposed to combat drug addiction and homelessness. Go to the hood near you and see how these “black community leaders” have put a dent in either category. The only dent is in their bank account when their withdrawing moola to gas up that gulf stream jet or that big ignorant Hummer their wives are pushing.

If HRC can get enough of these, cough, “black community leaders” to buy into her scheme (remember, payola goes a long way with these guys and gals), these so called “leaders of the black community” will most certainly push the “forgiveness of Hillary and Bill Clinton” doctrine to their congregations.

And I’m sorry to say that most of the followers will comply.

Kinda brings to mind the scene in “Talk to Me” when the Petey Green character played by Don Cheadle introduces an elected local DC politician on his cable access show and says” Yall done elected someone who I wouldn’t even trust to let wash my car”. THIS IS WHAT I THINK OF MOST OF THE MEGA TYPE OF CHURCH MINISTERS! And some smaller ones too.

Call me pig headed. Call me hardcore. BUT, POLITICALLY, I AINT FORGIVING THE CLINTONS. Or any other buster who ever uses Willie Horton tactics to get ahead. BLACK OR WHITE.

Barack Obama is exactly the type of “leaders in the black community” we need in todays political theater. Acknowledging that anyone, including Obama, who wants to be identified as a black leader in it’s community has to “go through the black church chit ling circuit” , I long for the day that a type of leadership for blacks emerge that is less dependent on church politics and is REALLY more “community based and focused”.

That’s right. I don’t think black church politics is community based focused in most cases. The head of the snake is the issue. In this case, in my eyes, it’s the corrupt “preacher man” and his fellow corrupt deacons.

I AM NOT SAYING ALL BLACK MINISTERS FALL INTO THIS CATEGORY. I have come across a few in my travels who I felt were genuine and committed to not “gettin rich or die trying-lite”; but to saving as many souls as they could.

I don’t have a problem with any type of leader of any community living comfortably. But when you start building 10 million dollar houses (Rev. Wright) and owning your own jets (Creflo Dollar types) I gotta say that’s over the top.

Let’s see if Obama plays the game and partakes in the “Let’s forgive Hillary” crap.

O.K., let’s forgive her personally. But politically, HELL NALL.

Where’s Dave Chappelle when you need him?
