We are getting screwed! The Oil industries are reveling in the Palin/wall street debacle, reaping billions on profits at the pump. How come no one is talking about this? The free market at it’s best i guess. let it run free, get out the way and let the market decide what’s the best price for oil.

Demand? Well O.K., it’s fallen because the U.S. is in crisis mode financially. But a 15 cent drop in the average price of a gallon of gas is not a 40% drop.

US gasoline under $3.50 for first time in 6 months

If these bastards can raise the price 40% because of a Hurricane, they can lower it commensurate to the drop in the cost of a barrel of oil. But they won’t. Why? BECAUSE THERE IS NO REGULATION THAT SAYS THAT HAVE TO DROP THE PRICE.

Remember, these are Dupya’s and John McCains’ boys were talking about. They don’t play that regulation crap.

When will this country wake up! If Sarah Palin has said “I’ve taken on big oil”, then why haven’t you made this (current gas prices) an issue during your campaign speeches? BECAUSE THEY WERE WRITTEN FOR YOU BY PEOPLE WHO ARE PAID FOR BY BIG OIL!

you know whats! The U.S. economy is under attack. And not by Muslim extremist with towel heads and long beards. They’re wearing Brooks Brothers blue suits or their undies while sitting at a computer in their home day trading.

They are called oil speculators. And if the dollar falls to a point where OPEC decides to use the Euro instead of the dollar…

WE ARE GOING TO SEE A DEPRESSION!

These speculators have manipulated the rise in the cost of a barrel of oil by simply referring to “speculation” about supply/demand/reserve concerns in driving up the costs of oil.

Their “speculation” has no valid connection to what the actual oil supply/demand/reserve facts are. Google it and you’ll see…

They can’t help it. GOP’ers and “conservatives” (code word for anti-negro) can’t run campaign’s that’s not racist. It’s their core constituency. Since reconstruction, have they ever? NO!

It is time for the U.S. to move ahead to the future. Barack Obama is not a savior. But he is a change that properly represents America’s sentiment that the direction of this country has GOT TO CHANGE! The old hands have used our tax money to surely benefit the few (the upper class).

Whites voting for Obama has nothing to do with them being liberal. It’s like hearing someone scratch a chalkboard when I hear white political commentators like Pat Buchannon tell blacks how they should “see things”. However, my take on why whites have voted for Obama (besides the fact that not all of them are racists or even have a problem with people of color) is that I believe whites are feed up with:

  • The high costs of gas as a result of Dick Chaney inviting the leaders of big oil to white house at the beginning of the Dupya Presidency.
  • The mis-leading of American People in lying (not misusing intelligence) to the American public about intelligence he used to justify the war in Iraq-for the benefit of attendees of Dick Chaney’s energy policy invite to big oil at the beginning of the Dupya Presidency.
  • The falling value of the dollar world wide- caused directly by Dupya Administration economic policies from “trusted, conservative minds”.
  • The housing crisis caused by Dupya and his administrations policy to not push for stiff enforcement of housing regulatory laws THAT ARE ALREADY ON THE BOOKS!
  • The home owner who was not a participant in the “sub prime debacle”, but who is being affected by it- Due to horrendous Dupya fiscal policys
  • The rising cost of food at the result of Dupya’s policy of allowing the Big Oil constituencys agenda to override all others.

These are just a few of the issue’s that white folk have a problem with the regular old beltway players in Washington.

What better way to send the message to their hardcore conservative neighbor then by putting an “OBAMA” sign in their front yard.

Revolution comes in all shades and colors…

Who ever would have known these three groups had something in common. They all won’t vote for a brotha! The first group is a given. It’s like living under a rock. Kentucky & West Virginia are examples of places that suffer from having not been affected by integration. And don’t say their the better for it. I don’t think either state makes the list of the most desirable places to live in the past 60 publications of “Best Places to Live” (if there are 60). More like the states more likely to have an inbred affect a national election.

The second group is sort of a surprise. Maybe it’s more of the “we should go first” mentality (chivalry is not thought of when a man thinks about Hillary Clinton, sorry). This group has certainly shown it’s racist Willie Horton side by uttering the “I’ll leave the party and vote for McCain (the serial sexist) because Obama, gulp, “is terribly sexist” (see Geraldine “Fiero”) crap. This whole position makes no sense and should be terribly embarrassing to any woman uttering it who claims to be a feminist. I mean you do know McCain called his wife a “cunt”. In public. Dude is “seriously terribly sexist”. Oh, I get it. Your doing your vaunted “Jedi Mind Trick” impersonation. Say one thing you know will not be challenged (because you always resort to the “men are sexist” card ad nauseam when things don’t go your way) but really mean another (I ain’t votin’ for no black guy) and convince others (women and gay men) that this is the right position to take. Get the hell outta here, pun intended.

The last group just sorta blows me away. I mean why am I even seeing headline articles talking about ” Florida Jews unsure of Obama because of Isreal”. Who gives a sh_t. look, I admire how zealous Jews are about their culture. But when it starts using MY COUNTRY as it’s tool in it’s zealous approach towards defending it’s culture, to the tune where American Soldiers loose their lives because of the agenda of the Jewish controlled “neo conservative” movement that put Dupya in office; well I gotta draw the line! You screwed up the last two elections. Thank God your idiot Democrat leadership in Florida blundered in moving up your primaries to the dismay of Howard Dean! Your outta the equation.

Isreal has nothing to do with $4 gas, the rising cost of food and people loosing their jobs here in the U.S.. I DON’T CARE ABOUT ISREAL! I care about being able to buy my daughter a pair of frickin shoes and putting food on my diner table! (Or does it? Hmmmmmm)

As a black guy, I don’t have a lot of images of like figures in the public that do me good and dilutes the negative stereotypes that so many others in my breathen constantly fuel (Thanks for nothing 50 Cent/Adam “Pac Man” Jones/and just about every southern rapper). Obama does just that! Thats just one of the reasons I support the man. Did I vote for Alan Keyes when he was running for President? Hell no I didn’t. I voted for a white guy. There.

U.S. Jews, on the other hand, has Joe Lieberman leading their charge and looking like a fool. Come to think of it, I don’t feel so bad. We’ve got 50 Cent, you’ve got Joe Lieberman. Geesh. Just think, that guy could have been the Vice President of the United States. What was Al Gore thinking?

Hillary supporters, (especially those who are of the White Working Class type) need to wake up to the fact that your supporting someone who is part of the corporate trade agenda “wing” of the Democrat Party.

  • Bill Clinton signing and supporting NAFTA, the starting block for the development of the North American Union between the US, Canada and Mexico.
  • Hillary’s former top campaign strategist Mark Penn being a proponent for free trade agreements that further advance the development of a North American Union. (Though she says she does not support NAFTA)
  • Hillary’s support for granting amnesty to illegal aliens (a part of the leaked strategy that was created by those who are proponents of the creation of the North American Union)
  • Some of Clinton’s MAJOR donors past and present (Sant Singh Chatwal, Norman Hsu, Sanjay Puri) are individuals who benefit greatly from the outsourcing of white collar tech jobs and other white collar jobs to places like India
  • Bill Clinton’s investments through his company, WJC Investments, that made profit off the outsourcing of US jobs to India.

The corporate trade agenda wing of the Democrat party found their ‘Willie Horton” tool in Reverend Wright. They use a strategy that has long been used by the GOP; a sizable section of the “White Working Class” is easily influenced/steered/motivated to vote against anything that is connected to Black America through the use of fear based politics.

Obviously, Black American issues have traditionally been sponsored/supported by the Democrat Party. Thus, the use of this tactic traditionally has been by the GOP to garner the “white working class vote”.

It’s a well know fact that this group of voters has traditionally voted for Republicans.

With the debacle that is the Presidency of Dupya, the white working class vote was ripe for the picking. Billary’s people figured this out before the Texas and Ohio primaries by mocking Obama’s message of racial conciliation.

WAKE UP. YOUR GETTING PLAYED!

Sure. Bill left the White House with America in much better shape than what we’re getting with Dupya. What you don’t understand is that the ones who were PROSPERING off the Clinton policies was not the ‘White Working Class”.

Your jobs were being outsourced to India and Mexico.

Having been born and raised in Gary, Indiana (1st 18years), I’ve lived in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area since June 2001. The similarities between Indiana and North Carolina are in most instances subtle, and in some instances striking.

Indiana, Northwest Indiana in particular, has suffered greatly due to the global economy, primarily through the loss of blue collar work in steel mills and manufacturing.

The Raleigh-Durham area is positively affected by it’s proximity to Research Triangle Parks Biomedical and Technology focused industry. These industry’s and the major banking industry presence in Charlotte has allowed both the Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte job force in North Carolina to avoid being negatively affected by the global economy.

However, rural North Carolina has been devastated by the effects of the global economy. Free trade agreements have negatively affected both North Carolina and Indiana with respects to jobs being lost to cheap labor located in places foreign to US soil.

How fitting is it that the two primary’s that I believe will decide who gets the Democrat Presidential nomination are the Indiana and North Carolina primaries.

The North Carolina voter has a unique paradox because it ecompasses voters who have not only been negatively affected by the global economy but also positively and negatively affected by the US’s global war on terror.

Eastern North Carolina is home to a vast number of US military installations such as:

The Marine Corps Air Station in Cherry Point, NC

Fort Bragg Army Installation near Fayetteville, NC

Pope Air Force Base, Fayetteville, NC

Seymour Johnson Air Force Base

Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Installation

The US Cost Guard Installation in Elizabeth City, NC

The Marine Corps Air Station in Jacksonville, NC

While North Carolina bases have seen an increase in military manpower assigned to it’s bases (thus creating economic stimulus to the communities they surround), they have also had to deal with the loss of life and problems facing soldiers who return with mental and physical injuries associated with serving in the two wars the US is currently involved in, Afghanistan and Iraq.

While Indiana as well as other states certainly are dealing with similar issues, North Carolina is one of the epicenters for these concerns in whole US of A.

That’s actually the way I view Northwest Indiana in the area of job loss to foreign labor; an epicenter of blue collar job loss. In this area, the job losses started in the 70’s. “The Region” (as they call it) has lost, probably, over 100,000 jobs in the steel and manufacturing sectors over the past two decades. I actually believe that 100,000 would be a conservative number.

In some respects, the textile industry in North Carolina has suffered the same plight as the Northwest Indiana industries. Take a look at the following:

  • 1994—> The Uruguay Round’s Agreement on Textiles and Clothing (ATC) requires countries like the U.S. to phase out import restrictions on textiles and apparel under MFA over the next ten years.—> NAFTA goes into effect.
  • 1999—> Burlington Industries lays off over 2000 workers in six North Carolina textile plants.
  • 2000—> President Clinton signs the Trade and Development Law of 2000. Thislaw consists of the U.S. – Caribbean Basin Trade Partnership Act (CBTPA) and the Africa Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA). Both of these measures improve trade relations between the U.S. and countries in the Caribbean Basin and Africa.—> Shelby Yarn closes three plants in Shelby and Cherryville, North Carolina, eliminating 650 jobs.
  • 2001—> Westpoint Stevens eliminates 1250 jobs in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.
  • 2003—> Kannapolis-based Pillowtex closes five North Carolina plants and eliminates over 4,000 jobs. The Raleigh News and Observer calls it “the single biggest job loss ever in North Carolina (Martinez, 2003).”
  • 2004—> U.S. Congress will be debating and voting on CAFTA, a trade agreement similar to NAFTA that includes Central American countries like El Salvador, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Honduras and Costa Rica.—> New York financier Wilbur Ross decides to create new International Textile Group by merging bankrupt Burlington Industries and Cone Mills. The new textile giant is expected to have annual revenues of $900 million (Lunan, 2004).
  • 2005—> All textile and apparel quotas will be eliminated for 148 WTO nations under ATC.

Since 1993, at least 13,000 jobs in North Carolina has been lost in the textile and furniture production industries due to NAFTA. Indiana has lost over 16,000 jobs to NAFTA in the motor vehicle equipment and electric equipment industries.

I dare a news media rep to go to the towns that lost these jobs and ask the ones who have lost their lively hood, if they are bitter because of free trade agreements that Billary Clinton and Dupya have signed into effect during their tenures in the White House.

I’m sure they’ll get an ear full bitterness.

Imagine what it’s going to be like when the soldiers are brought back to the US. The economy is in shambles due to Dupya’s teams financial and political ineptness. Unemployment is already high. Imagine what’s going to happen when these soldiers get back and they can’t find a job.

What if they feel they can’t get a job because of the illegal immigrant effect on the local job market.

A veteran solider is not going to work for or provide “cheap labor”.

NAFTA NEEDS TO BE RENEGOTIATED.
